The Story Behind Pour & Explore PNW

Growing up, I don’t think I fully appreciated Yakima Valley for everything it was. Like many people, it was easy to focus on the things the region was often known for, while overlooking the deeper story rooted in the land, agriculture, and the people who work it every day.

My dad was deeply connected to that community, and some of my earliest memories were shaped by it, playing in cherry bins during harvest season and picking prunes to help pay for my college education. At the time, I didn’t fully understand the amount of work, sacrifice, and pride tied to that way of life.

Years later, after building a life in Seattle and becoming a mother myself, my perspective changed. What once felt ordinary became something I deeply valued. I found myself drawn back to Yakima more often, not just for the wineries or scenery, but for the slower pace, the connection to the land, and the hidden beauty that exists beyond what most people on the west side ever get to experience.

Pour & Explore PNW was created from that rediscovery.

These experiences are designed to bridge the gap between Seattle and the other side of the Cascades; introducing guests to the people, agriculture, vineyards, breweries, and small hidden gems that make Central Washington so special.

More than just a tour, the goal is to create thoughtful, relaxed, and meaningful experiences that help people slow down, reconnect, and experience a different side of Washington that often goes unseen.
